Valued win Xero Partner of the year 2015

Valued Accountancy - Xero Partner of the year 2015

WOW, what a week it’s been

Who would have though that a conference about cloud accounting would have been so life changing.

Last Monday we started the whole week of #xero by attending the @spotlightrep (Spotlight Reporting partner lunch). It was great to catch up with like minded accountants who just want to help and collaborate with each other over a lovely meal special thanks to the team at Spotlight for organising such a informal session it was really productive and I can't recommend looking at spotlight enough if you want to change the way you interact with clients.

Monday evening seen the pre #xerocon drinks reception and did anyone else think wow this is something different when they walked into the venue, I was lucky enough to see the stage that night and to look out at all of those seats just made me realise how much the team at xero had grown and how far the conference had come over the last few years. I am proud to have attended them all and long may that continue as I do believe that has helped in the success of valued.

Early the next morning we were at the xero PSP stand ready to start talking to users about how we can help introduce Xero Practice Manger into their business and for the next 48 hours David and Elouse never stopped as the interest was so high.

So onto the actual conference and speakers like Karren Brady, David Rowan and Rita Clifton all coming up with great idea and suggestions and if you were anything like me you would have taken pages of notes and ideas to implement in your business, I personally thought it was brilliant having non xero people speaking as well this year about their experiences and sharing ideas so thank you to the team at Xero for organising that.

Onto the add ons and the wonderful things that they add to the ecosystem. Many of them launched new ideas and and major developments in the product such as Receipt Bank (love the new dashboard, we want it at valued), Spotlight ( numerous developments, can’t wait to use them ) and Chaser (new scheduling system and lets not forget Sir Chasealot) on top of that all of the other add ons who all bring something different to the Eco system such as Vend, Metro Bank, Customersure, Satago, Practice Ignition and Crunchboards as well as many others.

The awards night, well a huge congratulations to all of the winners, it was an amazing night. At Valued we were amazed, shocked and stunned, my voice even cracked I heard during those words I said on the stage, a huge thank you to Rod, Gary and the team at Xero it’s a really means a lot to us to win the Overall Accounting Partner of the Year award. But the main thanks go to our team, we really couldn’t do what we do without them caring and being so committed it’s a real pleasure to work with them.

Thursday seen us attend the accelerate programme at Xero head office in Milton Keynes and I couldn’t have thought of a better way of wrapping up the xero week. Amy From Xero and Paul from the Wow company did a brilliant job facilitating the day, I personally got a lot from it and if you get the opportunity to attend I certainly would suggest it.

It’s been none stop since then the phone hasn’t fallen silent, two new offers of employment have been issued and I am delighted to say accepted so the valued team will be expanding very soon, more on that soon on our blog.

But I just wanted to share my experience, hope you don’t mind but wanted to say a huge thank you to the team at Valued, especially thank Darren Glanville for introducing me to Cloud accounting without you Valued wouldn’t be the organisation it is and I wouldn’t have attended such a life changing conference.
